Thank you so much for your partnership with FAME through prayer. Your prayers are making an impact all around the world!
This month, please join us in prayer for our upcoming mission trips in 2023 and 2024, church visits that Executive Director, Bill Warren and Director of Development, Jeff Coon will be making, some wonderful volunteer groups, shipments of medical supplies being sent to FAME mission partners, and FAME staff members. We are truly blessed to have you as a prayer partner each month.
With July 4th coming up, I am reminded of the freedoms that we have here in the U.S. including our freedom in Christ. Some scriptures that talk about such freedom include:
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5;1 (NIV)
To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:31-32 (NIV)
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:34-36 (NIV)
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. Galatians 5:13 (NIV)
A devotional from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association I feel sums up our freedom in Christ very well. It states, “From cover to cover, God’s Word points to freedom in Christ. And God doesn’t leave us wondering how to grab hold of the freedom He offers. It starts with acknowledging our brokenness—and admitting we are slaves to sin. And it ends with choosing Jesus and following Him daily. Only He can break the bonds of slavery and lead us to true freedom, now and forever”.
May you have a wonderful 4th, as you celebrate all the freedoms we have and hold dear.
Blessings in the coming month,
