Recently Damien went with his mom Katie on a FAME short term trip to Mexico! He became a valuable part of the team doing small tasks helping with the medical outreach and education. He was impacted greatly and grasped a young vision of helping more in the future!
Because he went on the trip he automatically was added to the FAME mailing list and received a recent letter telling about unfunded global healthcare projects. Honestly, we probably wouldn’t have sent it to him but now I am glad we did. Because of his heart response.
His mom posted the following on social media:
FAME sends out a monthly newsletter and keeps you updated on projects that need funded. Our newsletter is addressed to Damien because he went on a recent mission trip through FAME. I read it to him and he immediately took the envelope and filled it with his piggy bank money. He had over $55 he wanted to donate and said, “I really want them to be able to buy what they need.” Forrest was then inspired to give as well.
If we all had faith like a child these projects would be funded in no time!
Remind you of anyone Jesus mentioned? The woman who gave ALL she had when Jesus witnessed her quiet offering quickly came to mind for me. Damien gave all he had, and his younger brother was impacted too!

I have received a lot of communications from a lot of great causes, I’m sure you have too! May we all respond with childlike faith when invited to participate in great works!
