The room was full. The energy was real. And for a moment, it felt like everything was possible.

And because of those who attended and many of you responding to a recent mailing one of the three Road to Hope projects is already fully funded.

That’s worth celebrating. But as we said that night…the journey isn’t over.

One of the most powerful moments came from our time with John Sankok, Director of Community Health Partners (CHP) in Narok County, Kenya.

His story isn’t just inspiring, it’s a picture of what sustainability really looks like.

CHP now operates 9 clinics surrounding the Maasai Mara, serving over 100,000 people every year.

  • They provide 80% of the healthcare services in the entire county.
  • They operate the best laboratory in Narok County.
  • And remarkably—their AIDS Mother to Child Transfer cases are now zero.

That is when I had John repeat his answer that mother to child transfer (MTCT) cases were now down to zero! We’ve only seen that a few places in Africa, like a partner clinic in The Ivory Coast!

But here’s what matters just as much as the outcomes: This work is 100% Kenyan led. 100% locally staffed. And daily operations are sustained through patient fees.

What began decades ago through missionary vision, has become something even more powerful—A locally led, self-sustaining healthcare system bringing both healing and the Gospel closer to the most vulnerable.

That’s the goal. Not just help for today…but systems that last for generations.

And that’s exactly what your partnership with FAME makes possible. When you give, you’re not just meeting a need, you’re helping move ministries like CHP further down the road toward sustainability, greater reach, and deeper Gospel impact for the 1.2 million people of Narok County.

So as we celebrate what God has already done through Night of Hope, we also step forward together—because two critical Journey to Hope projects still remain.

The road continues.
The need remains.
And the opportunity is still right in front of us.

Let’s finish what we started.

Because somewhere in Africa tonight, hope is still on the way, and you are part of bringing it there.

Together, we are delivering Clinics. Care. Christ.
