Come join us as we take a FAME team to the Dominican Republic! We are very excited to be partnering with Eastern Dominican Christian Mission to serve in La Romana.
Eastern Dominican Christian Mission (EDCM) is committed to serving communities throughout the Dominican Republic by meeting both the physical and spiritual needs of individuals and families. Partnering with EDCM, our team will provide compassionate medical care through mobile medical clinics in surrounding communities, as well as by serving patients at EDCM’s clinic. Together, we will care for those who have limited access to healthcare while building meaningful relationships with the people we meet.
Providing compassionate medical care is one way our team can serve, but there are also many opportunities for non-medical volunteers to encourage, pray with, and connect with those we meet. We also hope to share practical health education while supporting the ongoing ministry of Eastern Dominican Christian Mission and its local church partners.
These medical clinics create opportunities to strengthen the ministry of Eastern Dominican Christian Mission as they faithfully serve communities throughout the Dominican Republic. Through these relationships, the hope of Jesus Christ can be shared, lives can be transformed, and local churches can continue the work long after our team has returned home. Our ultimate goal is to glorify God in everything we do while serving alongside our Dominican brothers and sisters in Christ. We also hope to encourage the staff, pastors, and ministry leaders as they faithfully meet both the physical and spiritual needs of those they serve. This experience is exciting, challenging, rewarding, and humbling as we join God in the work He is already doing throughout the Dominican Republic.
