Recently, we’ve been asking a simple question:

What if people could stay connected to a specific place where healthcare and the hope of Christ meet—not through sponsorship, but through prayer?  That question led us to something we’re calling a CarePoint.

A CarePoint is a place where FAME partners are bringing healthcare and the hope of Christ to their communities. It might be a clinic in Kenya, a maternity center in Malawi, a refugee outreach on the Thailand-Myanmar border, a hospital in the Dominican Republic, or a medical ministry serving families in another part of the world.

Over the years, we’ve shared many stories from these places.

You may remember Min Aung, the young refugee living on the Thailand-Myanmar border who suffered a serious leg injury after falling from a mango tree. His family had no way to access proper medical care. Through the persistence of a local evangelist and the support of a Christian partner, Min Aung was finally transported to a hospital where he received treatment. What began as an act of compassion opened the door for an entire family to experience the love of Christ.

Stories like his remind us that every place where care is given can become a place where hope is discovered.

That’s why we’re launching the CarePoint Prayer Partnership.

By adopting a CarePoint in prayer, you’ll choose:
• A specific partner location to pray for
• Regular prayer prompts through our monthly prayer calendar
• Quarterly CarePoint updates from the field
• Stories of how God is working through healthcare ministry around the world

There is no financial commitment. This is simply an invitation to pray, learn, and stay connected for one year to that CarePoint. Because when we pray consistently for a place, we begin to care deeply about the people who live there.
