Dear Prayer Partner,
Thank you so much for your faithful prayers for the ministry of FAME and our partners. October is a special month for FAME as several teams head around the world to provide help and hope in the name of Christ through the medical care they will be providing. We are so grateful for each of you who joins us in prayer for these teams, the people they will serve, and the partners who faithfully serve year-round.
- On October 1–12, a FAME team will serve in Blantyre, Malawi, partnering with Akonda Ministries. The team will provide medical care at the clinic and through outreaches into neighboring communities.
- From October 4–13, another FAME team will serve in Kenya, working alongside Community Health Partners (CHP) to provide compassionate medical care and encouragement to communities in need.
- From October 12–25, our team in India will serve with Reaching Indians Ministries International (RIMI). The team will assist with healthcare teaching and training, provide hands-on medical care, and support RIMI’s ongoing ministry to communities in need.
- Then, October 17–27, a team will travel to https://fameworld.org/india-2/Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, partnering with Be There Ministries and missionary Mel Kim.
Please pray for all these teams and the ministry partners whom they will be serving alongside as they care for patients, build relationships, and look for opportunities to demonstrate the love of Christ.
We also want to say a special thank you and ask for prayers for the many volunteers who are coming to serve with FAME this month. Every volunteer plays an important part in our ministry, and we are deeply grateful for their willingness to give of their time and talents to help bring the love of Christ to those in need around the world.
We also ask that you join us in praying for the upcoming FAME Board of Directors Meeting on October 17. Pray for each of our directors as they seek God’s wisdom and discernment in the decisions before them. Pray for unity, clarity, and a shared vision as they prayerfully seek God’s direction for FAME in the coming year.
Last month, we introduced four areas of prayer for our CarePoint Prayer Partnership. As you use this month’s prayer calendar, we invite you to continue praying intentionally for the CarePoint you have chosen. If you haven’t yet adopted a CarePoint, we would love for you to join us! Patients: Pray for access to treatment, healing and recovery, and hope for those facing difficult circumstances.
Staff: Pray for strength and endurance for CarePoint staff, wisdom as they diagnose and care for patients, and encouragement as they serve in their calling.
Access: Pray for transportation and access to healthcare, successful mobile clinics and outreach efforts, and open doors into communities that may otherwise have limited access to care.
Impact: Pray for receptive hearts, meaningful conversations, and opportunities for the Gospel to be shared. Pray that the care provided through each CarePoint would lead to lasting, long-term transformation in individuals, families, and communities.
