The moments of care you make possible often become something much bigger.
Recently, a 25-year-old refugee named Min Aung fell from a mango tree and severely injured his leg. Living as refugees, his family had few options for medical treatment. They tried caring for the injury at home using traditional methods, but instead of healing, the wound became increasingly painful and serious.
When a local evangelist named Philip heard about Min Aung’s situation, he visited the family, prayed with them, and encouraged them to seek medical care. With the help of a Christian volunteer who provided transportation, Philip and his team helped bring Min Aung to a FAME clinic where he could finally receive proper treatment.
What happened next is why FAME exists.
A simple act of compassion opened the door to a relationship.
As Philip continued visiting the family, they welcomed him into their home. They listened as he shared the Good News that Jesus saves. The family began inviting others to join them. Soon, village children who could not attend school were gathering in their home to learn, and our medical team was invited to provide basic healthcare to other refugees in the area.
Then God did something remarkable.
Min Aung and his entire family placed their faith in Jesus Christ.
Today, a new house church meets in their home, and the Gospel is spreading through their community.
What began with a fall from a mango tree became a testimony of God’s grace.
These are the moments of care that you make possible.
A medical need is met. A relationship is formed. The love of Christ is demonstrated. Lives are changed—both physically and spiritually.
Thank you for helping bring Care and Christ to places where both are desperately needed.
Sometimes God’s Kingdom grows through grand plans. Sometimes it grows because someone takes the time to care for one injured young man. Thank you for making these moments of care possible.
