From Bill Warren, FAME Executive Director
September 11, 2012 was my first day at FAME. I was very excited about a new opportunity, a new challenge, a new ministry and a new team. More than thirteen years later, I can honestly say that I really had no idea what God had in store.
Along the way, I have met extraordinary people, built lasting friendships, visited dozens of mission partners and hundreds of churches. I have seen God work in so many ways and in so many places. He really does do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.” Kelly and I have been blessed beyond measure to be a part of this great work!
Over the years, the FAME board has been thoughtful and intentional about leadership succession, knowing that no one serves forever. After much prayer, discussion and reflection, I have informed the board that I plan to retire as Executive Director on December 31, 2027. The timing is my choice, and I am confident that the timing is right both for me and for FAME. The Board will conduct a thorough search and select the next Executive Director. (read more)
A Letter From Riley Weaver, FAME Board Chairman
When I think about the ministry of Bill Warren at FAME, one word comes to mind: thankful.
First, I am thankful for how FAME’s ministry has grown under Bill’s leadership. This is an exciting season in the ministry of FAME. Our staff is growing. Donations are up. We are shipping more medical supplies than ever. We’re taking dozens of people on mission trips.
Second, I am thankful for the partnerships Bill has fostered. God is working in powerful ways through our partners all over the world. Because of this, we can confidently say that the work of FAME is impacting over one million people globally per year.
I am also thankful for the heart that Bill has brought to this ministry. The team at FAME and other ministries all over the world have undoubtably been blessed by his devotion, integrity, and wisdom.
As the board looks forward to the next season of ministry at FAME, we are confident that the ministry is in a healthy place and is primed for continued growth. We are excited find a candidate with the calling and giftedness to succeed Bill as Executive Director and continue to advance the mission of FAME. (read more)
